Sunday’s Soundtrack for Surfing: Rabih Abou Kkalil

Between Dusk and Dawn

A full album from Mr. Khalil (who composed “Arabian Waltz” which I shared earlier as performed by The Silk Road Ensemble).

There are a handful of his albums to be found on YT and it was hard to decide but this one fit my mood best….

You know the drill.

Plug it in.

Press play.

Go on about your day

(Or night, for that matter. This is of course perfect Nachtmusik.)

Monday’s Music Box: Soundtrack for Surfing: Gabor Szabo

“Dreams”

…and very dreamy it is.

A truly unique voice in the world of jazz.

East meets West.

(I’ve got a thing for that–can’t you tell?)

This one’s from a while back.

1968, to be precise.

One of my all-time faves.

Probably flew under a lot of people’s respective radars.

Had this one on vinyl at one time.

A dear friend introduced me to his music back in the early 1990’s.

She just lost her father, so this one’s for K.

You know the drill.

Press play.

Go on about your day.

Peace.
