Brick City

(a new kind of amalgamating project, the idea for which I’ve been toying with for a while,,,,as I came to realize the rather ridiculous glut of “bricky” images I have in my files)

(a few of these images may be repeats or re-workings of images that have appeared on this blog before)

Bricks…

They’re pretty much everywhere you look in this town…

…probably to rival grains of sand in the Ganges…

…so, yes…

…plenty more to come…

2020 – 033/366 – City Seen — Continental In The Mix….

The Continental Life Building.

With a few other buildings in the foreground, including the steeple of St. Francis Xavier College Church, on the northern end of the campus of Saint Louis University in Grand Center, Midtown, Saint Louis.

Very similar to this photo, but taken with a wider lens, so a little less compressed…appearing a little more relaxed somehow? Plus the angle of view looks a little lower….a little closer….and a bit more to the east….

2020 – 026/366 — Searching…

…for structure…

…leaning into lines…

…craving curves…

…in the upper reaches…

…of the Grand Sculpture Hall…

…at SLAM…

…(what I really want to know is….who dusts all those crevices and crannies?)..

…(I mean, this crap’s all like 40-50 feet up)…
