  1. These are wonderful, and I especially like this one. They have this odd narrative quality, the way they suggest we’re all being watched and are part of some strange, hidden story. They make me think a little of the museum the time-traveler visits in Wells’ Time Machine.

    • Thank you, David. I really appreciate that. I do feel that there are so many stories glimpsed in these. There is something mysterious and haunting about both cities and museums as ‘places’–places that can somehow be both full of people and hauntingly empty simultaneously. Perhaps it is the word ‘place’. Something very open-ended about it.
