Before, Gotten





Everything i have forgotten,

all the things i will forget

and all the things that I have not—

eventually i will forget them all

until I forget forgetting and 

even my forgetting is forgotten.

  1. I love the way the language grows less ranging as the poem proceeds, as if spinning around the drain of forgetting.
